DC FanDome trailers are always a highlight of the annual event, and this year is no different. HBO Max came out swinging this afternoon by bringing several trailers and announcements for its biggest DC-related shows. With a focus on live-action content, HBO Max’s DC Fandome trailers cover a legion of bases, including Doom Patrol, Titans, and Pennyworth.

Let’s start this article off with a real banger, shall we? HBO Max announced today at DC FanDome that the Max Original series Doom Patrol will return for a fourth season and released a mid-season trailer in anticipation of the remaining episodes of season three, which debut weekly on the service every Thursday until November 11.

Doom Patrol reimagines one of DC’s most beloved groups of superheroes who all suffered a horrible accident that gave them superhuman abilities but also left them scarred and disfigured. Part support group, part superhero team, the Doom Patrol is a band of superpowered freaks who fight for a world that wants nothing to do with them. In season three, the Doom Patrol is at a difficult crossroads and each member struggles to face who they are and who they want to be. And things get a whole lot more complicated when Madame Rouge arrives in a time machine with a very specific mission if only she could remember it.

Season three stars Brendan Fraser, Matt Boner, Diane Guerrero, April Bowlby, Jovian Wade, Timothy Dalton, Skye Roberts, and Michelle Gomez.

Next up, we have some exciting news for fans of DC’s Titans. HBO Max announced today that the Max Original series Titans has been renewed for a fourth season and revealed a first look at the season three finale ahead of its debut this Thursday, October 21.

Titans follows young heroes from across the DC Universe as they come of age and find where they belong. In season three, circumstances draw our heroes to Gotham City, where they reunite with old friends and face new threats.

Season three stars Brenton Thwaites, Anna Diop, Teagan Croft, Ryan Potter, Conor Leslie, Curran Walters, and Joshua Orpin with Alan Ritchson, Minka Kelly, Damaris Lewis, and Savannah Welch.

Pennyworth, DC FanDome, announcement

Last but certainly not least, there’s some very cool news for fans of Pennyworth.

HBO Max announced today at DC Fandome that season three of the hit DC series Pennyworth, from Warner Bros. Television, will debut in 2022 as a Max Original. The first two seasons will also be available on the platform in early 2022.

The DC origin series Pennyworth follows Alfred Pennyworth (Jack Bannon), a former British SAS soldier, who forms a security company in 1960s London and foes to work with young billionaire Thomas Wayne (Ben Aldridge) before he becomes Bruce Wayne’s father. Season three of the psychological thriller also stars Emma Paetz, Paloma Faith, Ryan Fletcher, Dorothy Atkinson, Ramon Tikaram, Harriet Slater, and Simon Manyonda. Season three begins after a five-year time jump: the civil war is over, and a cultural revolution has changed the world for the better or worse – ushering in a new age of superheroes and supervillains.
