One of the men who stormed the Senate floor with zip-tie handcuffs during the Pro-Trump riot last Wednesday has been identified as a retired Air Force veteran.

The man has since been identified and arrested after his ex-wife called authorities to turn him in.
Texas resident Larry Rendall Brock, 53, wore a green military helmet and body armor in dramatic photos showing him among the insurrectionists who made it all the way to the Capitol’s inner sanctums, including House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s private office, federal prosecutors said Sunday.

According to an FBI affidavit, Brock’s ex-wife saw one of the images, recognized his face and alarming ensemble and picked up the phone.

“On January 8, 2021, a witness called the FBI National Threat Operations Center to report that she recognized Brock in a picture taken inside the Capitol building during the rioting,” Special Agent Milagro Garcia wrote in the former lieutenant colonel’s arrest warrant affidavit.

“The witness explained that she was Brock’s ex-wife and that the two had been married for eighteen years. The witness also stated that she recognized Brock wearing a military-style helmet, khaki pants, gray and black fatigues over a military vest and a patch from his military service,” it said.

“The witness stated, ‘I just know that when I saw this was happening, I was afraid he would be there. I think you already know he was there. It is such a good picture of him and I recognize his patch,’” the filing said.

The affidavit said video shows Brock “walking out of the Speaker of the United States House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi’s office.”

Brock’s tactical gear included a skull logo for The Punisher, the Marvel Comics character co-opted by white supremacists and followers of the far-right conspiracy theory group QAnon.

Brock was arrested Sunday and charged with one count of knowingly entering or remaining in a restricted area without lawful authority and one count of violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds, prosecutors said.

At least 20 people are now facing federal charges for their roles in the riot. Some are accused of joining the mob armed with weapons and bombs. Multiple arrests followed after the suspects posed for photos or bragged about their destructive exploits on social media.

Tennessee resident Eric Gavelek Munchel, 30, also was arrested Sunday after he was spotted carrying zip ties and something holstered on his hip into the Capitol, prosecutors said.

British news outlets reported he was accompanied by his bulletproof vest-wearing mom.

“We wanted to show that we’re willing to rise up, band together and fight if necessary. Same as our forefathers, who established this country in 1776. It was a kind of flexing of muscles,” Munchel, a Nashville bartender, reportedly told the Times of London.

We’re sure she couldn’t WAIT to make that phone call!
