Anna Diop has set the internet (and my heart) on fire today with the reveal of her new Starfire costume for Titans season three. HBO Max recently debuted the character’s new look by treating fans to both a full-length photo and Gina DeDomenico’s concept art of the Laura Jean Shannon costume design. Not only does the new suit look comic-accurate, but its creation also represents the first-ever physical suit created for the DC Comics character.
You can see both DeDomenico’s concept art as well as Diop in all of her Starfire glory below:

As you can see from the photos posted above, Diop’s new Starfire costume is … Well, fire. Covering the actress’s entire body, the new suit is made up of an Amethyst-colored base with gold inlays that help to create ornate patterns along the chest, arms, and legs. There also looks to be a spider-web-like pattern in the mix, while an emerald green gem dazzles at the center of Diop’s neckline. The new suit is stylish, respectable, and is bound to look even better once Starfire is set aflame and takes to the skies.
Recently while speaking with TVLine’s Inside Line, Titans executive producer Greg Walker shared a few details about what’s in store for Starfire when Season 3 explodes onto HBO Max:
“The arrival of her sister/nemesis Blackfire (new series regular Damaris Lewis) launches Kory down a path where she uncovers both secrets about her past and clues to her destiny… all of which will lead to her true calling as Starfire,” he said. “Plus,” Walker added, “we have a few other surprises in store for hardcore Starfire fans this season.”
Season 3 of Titans, which will arrive exclusively on HBO Max, is currently in production. In addition to Diop as Starfire, the upcoming season also stars Damaris Lewis as Blackfire, Brenton Thwaites as Dick Grayson/Nightwing, Teagan Croft as Rachel Roth/Raven, Ryan Potter as Gar Logan/Beast Boy, Conor Leslie as Jason Todd/Red Hood, Joshua Orpin as Hank Hall/Hawk, and Minka Kelly as Dawn Granger/Dove.
