Clive Barker‘s feature directorial debut Hellraiser has had a lot of sequels over the years, but in the new episode of our Show Me the Sequel video series we’re asking for a sequel to a different Barker project: Nightbreed (watch it HERE)! To find out what we’d like to see from a follow-up to Nightbreed more than thirty years later, check out the video embedded above.

Released in early 1990, Nightbreed was written and directed by Barker, based on his 1988 novella Cabal. The film has the following synopsis:

Aaron Boone is haunted by terrifying nightmares of a city of monsters. He goes to see a psychiatrist, Dr. Decker, for help. But what Boone doesn’t know is that Decker is really a serial killer. Decker frames Boone to take the fall for his murders, and Boone is killed by the police. But Boone is brought back to life by the monsters of his dreams, the Nightbreed, who in turn join Boone in his quest to stop Decker from killing again.

Craig Sheffer, Anne Bobby, David Cronenberg, Doug Bradley, and Oliver Parker star.

The Show Me the Sequel series is about

genre films that either never got sequels and we feel it’s long overdue, fine movies that did get sequels but they were so lackluster that going back to square one is a must, or… flicks that DO have sequels but hey, we want freaking MORE of them! On top of that, we put our pitch for what said sequel should be about!

The Nightbreed episode was Written by Emilie Black, Narrated by Lance Vlcek, Edited by Jaime Vasquez, Produced by Lance Vlcek and John Fallon, and Berge Garabedian is the Executive Producer.
