The switch comes as the blues-rock duo — Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney — prepare to release a 10th anniversary edition of their Grammy-award winning album, 2011’s El Camino on Nonesuch Records on Nov. 5. The release will be available in several configurations, including five LPs, four CDs and 3 LPs editions.
It follows the May release of The Black Keys’ 10th studio album, Delta Kream, a collection of blues-oriented covers that influenced the pair.
The Black Keys, which are celebrating their 20th anniversary this year, headlined the Pilgrimage Festival in Nashville on Sept. 25, but have no other dates listed on their website.
Peets, Azoff and Moir declined to comment and the band could not be immediately reached for comment.
