An official trailer and title for Lana Wachowski's The Matrix 4, entitled Matrix Ressurections has debuted at CinemaCon is in Las Vegas at this year’s CinemaCon, where the first footage and a title for The Matrix 4 have made their debut. To begin, the official title for the new film is Matrix Resurrections.

According to our boots on the ground at the event, Chris Bumbray, the trailer begins with Neil Patrick Harris talking to Keanu Reeves’ Next, Neo is now a guy named Thomas who’s been dreaming of The Matrix. He then experiences deja vu when he meets Trinity. “Have we met?” she asks. Seemingly, Neo doesn’t know that he’s back in The Matrix. In terms of Neo’s appearance, he’s rocking something of a John Wick look. He’s got long hair and a beard. Does he have a knack for making headshots? We’ll have to wait and see. Jefferson Airplane’s “White Rabbit” begins to play, and that’s when we get a shot of young Morpheus. Shortly thereafter, we’re able to spot Jessica Henwick. After replaying the famous fight first between Neo and Morpheus, the trailer goes into action overdrive.

Neo wakes up again. What is going on? Where’s a red pill when you really need one?

Matrix Resurrections is directed by Lana Wachowski and is scheduled to arrive in theaters on December 22.

There is no word as to whether the trailer is coming to platforms other than CinemaCon, but you can be sure that we’ll be there when it drops.
